Poltronic in the Environment

In a world of resources distributed extremely un-even between continents, between countries and between families every individual and enterprise should have a responsibility to actively counteract the negative forces of market economy. Same un-even distribution can be seen time-wise; we need to care for future generations now.
Progress autumn 2005:

Collaboration with Climate Care is enabling us to compensate for Poltronic business and family related greenhouse gas emissions!
A new business model is developed, showing that environmental issues are part of the business of Poltronic although not visible in the income side of the financial balance sheet.

Poltronic limits the use of resources by:

- Limit traveling, and for each trip and location find multiple uses and benefits
- Use train or bus where possible, airplanes consume more energy / passenger and leave exhaust gases in the sensitive stratosphere
- Minimise paper usage, read from computer screen, make notes where appropriate
- Re-use, re-cycle, support Fair Trade

Poltronic and its personnel are involved in the following organisations:

* UNICEF monthly contribution to United Nations Children's Fund
* Facts about the US life and politics from Union of Concerned Scientists UCS and the Sound Science Initiative SSI
* Member of Earth Watch and participated in 3 projects, latest in July 2007 in Team III of Mammals of Nova Scotia.
* World Wildlife Found WWF
* ENESPA, an Energy Service Company guiding owners in energy saving projects.
* Tekniikka Elämää Palvelemaan / Technology for Life TEP
* Natur och Miljö NoM
* Eko-osuuskunta
* Ekoportti
* Our electricity is renewable energy produced in Lumituuli by Ekosähkö

Environmental questions are not easy, continuous research and discussions are needed.
